Triumphant… that's Sedbergh captain Tom Curtis who is pictured accepting the SOCS Daily Mail Schools Trophy from Hamish Webb of The Daily Mail.
Curtis contributed 143 points to Sedbergh's second successive unbeaten campaign in this national competition played over the autumn term and sponsored by SOCS, the schools management system.
Sedbergh's last defeat came in November 2016 when Lancashire rivals Kirkham toppled the mighty Cumbrians – some 37 games ago.

Wing George Barber was Sedbergh's top try scorer on 10, two better than Curtis.
Sedbergh's tightest wins came in successive games to clinch the title in December when they beat past champions Wellington College 17-15 and Millfield 8-6.
The win over Wellington was completed by Curtis kicking a touchline conversion.
Overall, the competition, which was launched in 2013, attracted more than 100 schools from throughout England.
