Sullivan ran out as comfortable winners against Coleraine Inst 27-14 and will be full of confidence going into what will be their first final. Methodist College will be looking to win their third title in a row, a feat they have achieved 3 times before in their history: in 1891, 1892 and 1893, 1927, 1928 and 1929 and in 1974, 1975 and 1976. They beat Wallache High School 17-12 in their semi.
Methodist College will have a psychological advantage going into the final having beaten Sullivan twice this season already. Sullivan are happy to go into the game as underdogs and it would be a fairytale for them if they could win their first trophy in their first final.
