The age group winners for the North East HMC Schools Super 7s competition are as follows:

U14: Durham School

U15: Woodhouse Grove

U16 QEGS Wakefield

U18: Sedbergh School

Overall winners: Sedbergh School.

Each age group plays in tournaments run by North East HMC Schools which is around five competitions at each age group. With 12 points given to the school winning an individual tournament, the school with the most points at the end of the sevens season wins that age group. The three best competition results from each age group are then added together to work out the overall winning school.

Having won last years tournament, Durham School finished second overall. Their U14s had a particularly good sevens season winning all five of the following competitions (Durham, Hymers, Sedbergh, St Peter's & Bradford GS). The Super 7s Series is growing and, as the results unfold on schools sports, students and schools can monitor where they sit in the age group and overall table as the season goes on creating real excitement about the HMC NE Super 7s.
